If you are a parent, and thinking about a move to the Greenwood area, I’m sure you want to know what activities there are for kids who are interested in Dance.
There are quite a few Dance Studios, and they each operate differently. Some of them operate on a “school year” schedule, starting classes in August that run through June with a big Recital at the end. The littles usually do two numbers in the Recital while the older students dance throughout the program. The older dancers start to get a feel for what it would be to be part of a dance “company”.
Another option is some of the studios offer classes that begin and end in a shorter amount of time, like 10 weeks. This is great for kids who want to try different kinds of dance, or families who can’t commit to an entire year of dance.
And, for those kids who have committed years to dance, experienced dancers can audition for the Indiana Youth Ballet.
